Sunshine Food and Wine is co-owned by husband and wife team Hugh and Ellen Belden.
This story starts in Los Angeles, as many good stories often do. They met working across the street from one another on Fairfax Avenue in West Hollywood. They shared their passion for wine, food, and film over Hamm's beer at Hollywood's iconc Kibitz Room inside Canter's Deli.
Chef Hugh Patrick is an Ann Arbor native. He has garnered 13 years of experience working in prestigious restaurants all across the country, including Glasserie, Cake Thai, Banshee, and Animal.
Ellen is a sommelier and wine director. Originally from Colorado, she is the recipient of Atlanta Magazine's Best Wine List 2023 as well as a James Beard Semifinalist for Outstanding Wine Program 2023. Her focus is on sustainably made, organic, and minimal intervention wine.
